The nearest underground stations are Bank, Liverpool Street, Monument, Aldgate, Cannon Street and Fenchurch Street. The only step-free access is at Bank station on the Dockland Light Railway. King’s Cross is accessible to the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City line services.
London Bridge is accessible to Northern and Jubilee line services.
Liverpool Street station is step-free from platform to street by the use of lifts provided from the main lower ground concourse to the MacDonald’s restaurant area leading towards the outside of the station.
The following buses can be taken to St Mary Axe from nearby stations:
The Route Bus number 25 towards Oxford Circus from Liverpool Street station and Aldgate station.
The Route Bus number 25 towards Ilford High Road / Hainault Street from Bank Station.
All buses are accessible.
A drop kerb and a ramp are situated on Bury Street.
The entrance to 30 St Mary Axe is accessible to wheelchair users. A ramp curving around the right side of the building will allow access into the main lobby. On arrival, please inform a member of staff who will gladly assist.
Accessible toilets are situated on Level 39; one level higher than the meeting room. These toilets meet all necessary requirements and are accessible by lift.
From Bank Tube station take exit 2 towards Threadneedle Street, walk up the stairs, turn left from the station, walk all the way to the end of Threadneedle Street at the traffic lights, (Bank of Scotland should be next to you), cross the road, turn left at Bishopsgate, walk down until you see a news agent by the name BK NEWS, turn right and walk for about two minutes and you’ll see The Gherkin in front of you.
Take the Bishopsgate (West) exit via the escalator, stairs or lift towards the main entrance where you’ll find a MacDonald’s restaurant. Turn to your right, walk straight down until you get to Boots Opticians. Cross over to Camomile Street (towards Maplin), walk to the end of the road you’ll see St. Mary Axe to your right.
If arriving by taxi or Dial-a-Ride, please ask the driver to take you to Bury Street directly outside St Mary’s Axe.
There is no parking available for external guests. The closest public car park to 30 St Mary Axe can be found where Houndsditch and St Boltolph Street meet near Aldgate station.
30 St Mary Axe welcomes guide dogs and hearing dogs.
